Taco Bell Crunch Wrap Supreme

Saturday night Jake and I attempted the "Taco Bell Crunch Wrap Supreme" recipe that we found on this blog. Neither of us enjoy Taco Bell, nor have we heard of the Crunch Wrap Supreme before, but we thought the recipe looked good!

Because the only cookware we had on Saturday was a pot, they didn't turn out so well for the first attempt. Sunday, mom was in town for the shower and generously lent us her pans and they turned out great! Just like the photos look!

Ingredients:
Flour tortillas (the biggest ones you can find)
Corn tortillas (the hard round ones) - or chips
Ground Beef
Taco Seasoning
Refried Beans
Sour Cream
Nacho Cheese
Shredded Lettuce
Diced tomatoes and Onion

1. Get your Ingredients Ready

Jake cut the limes for the Coronas.

(don't forget to bake the corn tortillas for a few minutes in the oven!)
(and don't forget to microwave the flour tortillas for 10 seconds so they won't break)

2. Begin Layering

Soft shell
+
 Meat
 +
Nacho cheese (or shredded, Taco Bell uses Nacho but it gave us stomach aches)
+
 Hard Corn Tortilla
+
Sour cream
+
Lettuce
+
Onions and peppers

3. Begin folding

Fold one edge of the soft tortilla up toward the center and do the same all the way around until it looks like this (the picture is after it is fried).

You will most likely have to tear off a piece of another soft shell tortilla and add it into the center to cover all of your fillings completely.

4. Fry both sides in a pan of oil until it is brown! Place the folded side down on the pan first and let it sit on medium heat for about 3 min. per side.

*sorry no finished product pics but it was delicious and looked just like the blogger's from the recipe!*

The original Crunch Wrap Supreme from Taco Bell fyi:

This was so delicious! Some of the photos of the folded Crunch Wrap I had to take from the blog I mentioned in the beginning of this post because we forgot to take photos. They looked almost identical to ours though!
