I realize I recently wrote a favorites post (only 2 posts ago), but since it's exam week, I don't have much time to compose my other ideas (until Monday).
If you want to begin taking yoga but don't want to change out of your pajamas and drive to a class, Adriene has got you covered. She posts a new yoga class every week, her classes range in difficulty, and there's calmer classes and more vigorous classes that she posts. This has been a great mind break for me, and when I'm in my afternoon study slump I just put her youtube channel on my TV, and after 20 minutes with her I feel so much better. Check her out here.
2. This article in the FHS Blazer
(photos sent via Michaela Bartels)
The Blazer did an article on high school relationships for the February issue. Jake and I, and our moms were interviewed as well as some high school students in relationships. We gave advice and talked about experiences about what makes our relationship work well, etc. We were flattered to be interviewed, and hopefully people enjoy the article and will treat their significant other this Valentine's day :) .
3. LUSH is coming to Omaha!
(photo from here)
Coming to Village Point in May! Village Point is already my favorite shopping center in Omaha, and with this addition I will have to restrain myself from going every weekend this summer to pick out something new and fun. I'm SO excited (I have quite a few LUSH products to review in the next few weeks to give you some ideas for your first purchases from this new store!)
4. LUSH Mask of Magnaminty
(eek check out those dark circles forming...this person needs sleep)
I received this mask as a free sample in my January order from LUSH, and it actually gave me three uses out of it, so I was very excited. I used it every Friday before date night and my face literally glowed afterwards. I'm not quite sure how it works but the mint tingles your skin, and it feels like it's messing with my nervous system because it makes my face twitch just slightly (in a good way) because of it's "tightening" effects. It really does tighten (at least for an evening)!
Lush's description is:
Mask of Magnaminty isn’t technically a daily ‘facial wash’; it’s actually a deep cleansing face and back mask. China clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation. We add loads of aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe. Our inventors created Mask of Magnaminty to be the ‘ultimate face mask’, intense but not harsh or abrasive on the skin. We recommend using Mask of Magnaminty weekly to keep the skin in good condition.
5. Friends on Netflix
(photo from here)
I don't know where I've been the last ten years, but I wasn't watching Friends. Now, I'm hooked. This is Jake and I's go-to show and it's also my favorite show to watch while on the elliptical!
Scott and I are watching Friends too! We just started season three :)
