burgers and ice cream

Last weekend before Mom and Anna left for Cayman, we hung out with Mom and dropped her off downtown at her hotel before her morning flight. We thought it would be fun to stop for burgers while we were down there, little did we know that it would take 20 minutes to drive a few blocks from the hotel to the parking garage. Old Market was so packed all night that Jake and I won't be going back for a while. Even after dinner, it took us forever to get out. There seemed to be some event going on downtown which closed Farnam, but still.

We grabbed burgers at Upstream Brewing Company, and tried some of their beers. It's always a good decision to eat beef when you know it's great quality. Jake enjoyed his guacamole burger, and I was in heaven with my BBQ and bacon one. We ate so much that the next morning we woke up and we were still full.

We figured since we were downtown anyway, we'd check out Ted and Wally's Ice Cream. The line was out the door at 10:30 p.m. when we went in. It reminded us of Ivanna Cone  in Lincoln, since it was delicious homemade ice cream.

Jake went with Molasses and Lemon Ginger. I tried the Butterscotch Cookie and the  Creme Brulee. All of our flavors were amazing, but the creme brulee was unbelievable!
